Memphis – The Utah Jazz headed on down to Tennessee hoping to grab a road win against the injury plagued Memphis Grizzlies. Zack Randolph had other plans as the big man scored 22 points, had 7 assists, and pulled down 10 rebounds on the way to a victory for the Grizzlies 104-94.
The Utah Jazz who fall to 8-23 on the season were led by Trey Burke and Richard Jefferson who each scored 18 points. Gordon Hayward dropped in16 points, with 11 rebounds and nine assists. Derrick Favors also scored 16.
The Grizzlies bench scored 51 points of the points led by Jerryd Bayless, Mike Miller and his bad tattoos, and Jon Leuer shotting over 50 percent from behind the arc with 11 of 20 eight of the makes by the bench leading threesome.
The Grizzlies pushed out to a 41-29 lead by midway through the second quarter, but nearly lost it before recovering for a 53-48 halftime lead. Randolph led all scorers with 12 first-half points while Burke had 11 for the Jazz.
Next up for the Utah Jazz will be the Lakers at home the day after Christmas.
