The Reno Aces rallied for a 9-7 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night to complete a sweep of the four game series. The Bees jumped in front in the first, as Shane Robinson and Kaleb Cowart opened the game with back-to-back singles before Dustin Ackley launched his first home run of the season over the bullpen in right field. Reno scrambled back to tie the game, but Salt Lake regained the lead in the fourth when Rey Navarro scored on a wild pitch. The Bees had a 5-3 lead in the fifth when the Aces scored five runs, as the first six batters reached base and took the lead for good on a three run homer by Carlos Rivero.
Alex Blackford (1-2) took the loss in relief, as he went the final four and one-third innings and allowed six runs on seven hits with two walks, one strikeout and one hit batter. Starter Vicente Campos worked the first three and two-third innings and gave up three runs on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Ackley led the Bees with two hits and four runs batted in, while Bo Way chipped in with three hits, as Salt Lake is swept for the first time in a series at Reno.
