Rio Tinto Stadium, Sandy, UT – Real Salt Lake came to compete tonight against Premier League powerhouse Manchester United, well at least for the first 30 minutes.

Luis Silva, who had been close of number of times, was the first on the score sheet with a left-footed flick in the 23rd minute, but it was not enough with Henrikh Mkhitaryan scoring in the 29th minute and Romelu Lukaku in the 38th.

The biggest surprise of the night was when Antonio Valencia was sent off in the 68th minute after he leveled Sebastian Saucedo.

RSL is back in action Wednesday night at Providence Park against the Portland Timbers, and back home Saturday to take on Sporting Kansas City.
