Fresno, CA (April 22, 2017) The Salt Lake Bees rallied with two runs in the seventh inning to edge the Fresno Grizzlies 6-5 on Saturday for their eighth consecutive win. Down 5-4, Ramon Flores drew a one out walk. He advanced to second on a ground out and scored the tying run on a single to center by Sherman Johnson, who took second on the throw to the plate. Shane Robinson followed with a single to left to bring home Johnson with the eventual winning run. The eight game winning streak is the longest for Salt Lake since they won thirteen in a row in 2008.
Cody Ege (2-2) picked up the win in relief, while Keynan Middleton retired the final four batters to earn his first save of the season. The Bees used two pitchers up from high A Inland Empire making their triple-A debuts. Starter Austin Robichaux went three innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on two hits and reliever Tyler Warmoth went two and two-third scoreless innings without giving up a hit. All nine starters had at least one hit for Salt Lake with Carlos Perez leading the way with four hits and two runs batted in, while Robinson added three hits and two RBI.
