Salt Lake led 6-1 when Oklahoma City closed the gap with three runs in the eighth. The Dodgers got their leadoff man on in the ninth to bring the tying run to the plate, but Javy Guerra retired the next three batters to record his fifth save.
David Carpenter (1-1) pitched a scoreless fourth inning to earn the victory.
