RSL falls on the road 0-1 to Chivas USA

Utah Sporting NewsCARSON, Calif. – RSL falls on the road 0-1 to Chivas USA failing to lock up a playoff berth for the 7th year in a row.  The match played on Sunday night at StubHub Center was the first of two match ups with the Goats to end the regular season for Real Salt Lake.

RSL controlled the ball 74 percent of the match but was unable to put a ball in the back of the net and really had trouble just putting a shot on goal.  Chivas at the 47th minute capitalizing on an RSL giveaway, allowing Erick Torres to take an open shot on goal that hit off the crossbar and Felix Borja was in the right place at the right time to knock the rebound in what would end up being the lone goal of the match.
