RSL draws at home against league leading FC Dallas

Rio Tinto Stadium, Sandy, UT – In a match that was all defense Real Salt Lake draws again at home against the league leading FC Dallas.

The result means that neither team moves in the Western Conference standings, FC Dallas remains on top and RSL hold forth place for now.  RSL still has not clinched a playoff berth, but with 3 matches to go they are still positioned to make a run at the 2016 MLS Cup.

Both clubs hit the pitch ready to play, the most notable absence was Yura Movsisyan who was injured during practice this week, and Joao Plata who was on the bench but did not start.  Scoring opportunities were rare and both goalkeepers were up to the task tonight.

The best chances tonight were first from Maura Diaz who hit the post in the 8th minute, then Juan Manuel Martineze had a chance off of a free kick, but Seitz was able to snag the ball.  Walker Zimmerman also had a shot in

the first half when he sent a diving header toward Nick Rimando who notched a save and retained the clean sheet.

The last good chance of the match came in the 85th minute when Joao Plata sent a rocket toward Seitz in the 85th minute.  Seitz was able to tip the ball out of the way keeping the match at 0-0.
