Salt Lake City – A nice home win for the Utah Jazz defeating Charlotte by three for the second time this year, 83-80. Tonight’s win is their fifth at home and their tenth overall bringing their record to 10-24 and sweeping the season series between the two teams.
Game leaders for the Jazz were Trey Burke 21 points, 5 assists, who continues to shine. Marvin Williams and Derrick Favors each threw in 13 points and a combined 14 rebounds to help out. Gerald Henderson scored 19 for Charlotte while Former Jazz-man Al Jefferson had 10 rebounds and matched Kemba Walker’s point total of 18.
Bobcats kept it close down the stretch taking the lead 77-76 with just over a minute to go in the game. But they were unable to connect again until a last second 3-pointer by Jefferson that mattered not after the Jazz scored the last seven to put them over the top for good.
Next up for the Utah Jazz are the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, another home game. The complete schedule for all Utah Sporting News content can be viewed on our calendar.
