Denver, CO – The Utah Jazz traveled to Denver to take on the Nuggets in front of a crowd of 15,616 beating the home team by ten 103 – 93. For the Jazz this was their 25th game of the season and their 13th road game of the season. The two teams last meat at Energy Solutions Arena in the eighth game of the season on November 11, 2013 with the Denver Nuggets defeating the Jazz 100 – 81.
Tonight’s game saw the Jazz lead by Gordon Hayward who scored a season-high 30 points to go with a career-high 13 rebounds. Derrick Favors had 19 points while the Nuggets were lead by Wilson Chandler and Jordan Hamilton who had 17 apiece for the Nuggets.
The Jazz lead 33-28 after the first quarter and up by nine 53-44 at the half. When the second third quarter played out the Jazz increased their lead to 16, but finished the quarter on a 26-8 run to go ahead by two. The lead grew to four before Utah responded.
Hayward and Richard Jefferson had three-point plays and Derrick Favors and a outback bucket to give the Jazz a 94-89 lead. Denver cut it to 96-93 on two free throws by former University of Utah guard Andre Miller, but a layup and free throw gave Utah a 99-93 lead and the Jazz closed it out from there.
