Salt Lake City – After winning two straight road games, Jazz travel home to Energy Solutions Arena and fall short to the Spurs 100-84. Shooting only 39% on the game, Jazz don’t get it done at home against Tim Duncan and company.
Leading the Jazz in scoring was rookie Trey Burke 20 points, 5 assists. Gordon Hayward had 18 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Jazz fought hard all game but never had the lead as the veteran Spurs were just too much for this young Jazz team.
For San Antonio, ageless Tim Duncan had 22 points, 12 rebounds in the victory. Spurs bench consisting of Boris Diaw, Marco Belinelli, Patrick Mills, and Aron Baynes outscored the Jazz bench 47-22, which was the difference.
Jazz fall to 6-20 and begin a road trip to play 5 games in 8 days that begins in Miami starting on Monday.
