Rio Tinto Stadium, Sandy, UT  –  Real Salt Lake missed another great opportunity to get
3 points at home against the New England Revolution.  RSL hasn’t won at home since June 22nd when they defeated the New York Redbulls 2-1.

New England visited Rio Tinto for the only time this season as Real started a lineup that looked more like we have become accustomed to this year.  There were several opportunities early, but the Revolution was able to show some pretty good defending.  Both teams went to the locker room at the half without scoring.

With no changes in the lineup both clubs hit the pitch to start the second half and things picked up exactly where they left off, Real had its chances, but couldn’t get the ball in the net.

Yura Movsisyan played well until he was substituted out for Olmes Garcia in the 77th minute.  Soon after came the best change RSL had when in the 90′ +2′ when Olmes Garcia almost kissed the cross-bar as it sailed over the top.

Another good takeaway from this match is that Nick Rimando was able to get a clean sheet on the night.  That is the first RSL clean sheet since April 16th.
