The Salt Lake Bees scored six runs in the eighth inning to rally for a 9-5 victory over the Sacramento River Cats and earn their seventh consecutive win. With the Bees trailing 5-3, Kaleb Cowart led off with a single to right, stole second and scored on a single to center by Rey Navarro. Nolan Fontana singled and Ramon Flores walked to load the bases. Matt Williams drew a walk on a 3-2 pitch to tie the game at 5-5. One out later, Sherman Johnson pulled a single to right to bring in the go ahead run. Bo Way hit a slow bouncer and Sacramento first baseman Ryder Jones made an errant throw to home to allow two runs to score. Carlos Perez capped off the inning with a run scoring ground out.

Justin Miller pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth inning to close out the game. Greg Mahle (1-0) allowed one run in two innings of work to pick up the win. Fontana led the Bees with three hits and one run batted in, while Cowart and Tony Sanchez each added two hits. Williams chipped in with a solo homer, his second of the season, and two runs batted in, as the Bees record just their second four game series sweep in eighteen years at Sacramento.
