Bees Comeback Road Win Over River Cats

Sacramento, CA (April 19, 2017) – The Salt Lake Bees scored six runs in the eighth inning to rally for a 7-4 victory over the Sacramento River Cats on Wednesday to extend their winning streak to five games. The Bees trailed 3-0 going into the eighth when Eric Young, Jr. led off with a single to center. Kaleb Cowart was walked and after a double steal,  Dustin Ackley drove in the first run with an infield single. Nolan Fontana brought home the second run with a squeeze bunt. Back to back walks loaded the bases for Ramon Flores, who singled to center to bring in the tying and go ahead runs. Young capped off the inning with a two run double.

Cody Ege (1-2) tossed one and one-third innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win. Starter Troy Scribner went five and two-third innings and allowed just two runs on five hits with six strikeouts and no walks. Scribner has now made nine starts in his Triple-A career and allowed two or less runs in eight of them. Flores led the Bees’ ten hit attack with three hits and three runs batted in, while Young added two hits and two RBI.
